Real Time Passenger Information systems (RTPI) use Global Positioning Technology to track buses along their routes. Passengers can view an up to the minute display provided at the bus stop indicating the time of arrival at that point. RTPI services are also being developed via the Internet and SMS text messaging using a mobile telephone.

The County Council has already installed RTPI technology to track operation of the Connect 1 service which operates between Grantham and Lincoln and Connect 3 service which operates between Grimsby and Lincoln.
